Information Resource Center
Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)
The American Library has an automated book circulation system and catalog. Seven Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) terminals are installed in the reading room for the use of our patrons.
OPAC provides direct access to the complete bibliographic record of the resource center's collections. The database is searchable by author, title, subject, call number, year published and subject and title keywords. Additionally, the OPAC enables the patron to get information about the location and status of a particular book. The OPAC is a user-friendly system, yet for the convenience of the readers, the librarians provide orientation on its use.
